Allison and Aly’s Lakeside Park Wedding in Fort Wayne

I wasn’t supposed to be Allison and Aly’s wedding photographer. But due to some last minute changes beyond their (or their original photographer’s) control, they found themselves in need of someone to step in and capture their day. So I packed up my gear and headed to Fort Wayne on Saturday morning and photographed their stunning Lakeside Park wedding!

After getting ready for their day in separate hotel rooms, it was time for their first look at Lakeside Park. Tucked away in a quiet spot of the busy park, Allison and Aly saw one another for the first time as brides. It was a beautiful moment!

Following their first look, Allison and Aly celebrated with their bridal party and the family that was present. Allison’s mom even gave both brides a matching infinity bracelet – similar to a bracelet of her own! She even arranged to have one sent to Aly’s mom in California. How sweet is that?

Finally, it was time for their ceremony. Standing underneath the beautiful white columns of Lakeside Park and a bright, blue sky, Allison and Aly said I do!I may not have originally planned on being Allison and Aly’s wedding photographer, but I am so thankful that I was able to celebrate with these wonderful humans on their big day. I mean, it’s not every day that I get to photograph a wedding with two brides with the same name as me!

These two have been through so much on their journey to married life. Their original wedding plans were flipped upside down. Allison was even interviewed by NPR on the subject, you can check that out here. But they stayed focused on what really mattered: their love story. As a result, their wedding day was joyful, authentic and so very genuine.

Congratulations to Allison and Aly! Thank you for letting us celebrate with you!

Aly and Zach……THANK YOU so much for making this day so special. I have been telling everyone that the weather was wonderful, the venue was beautiful and the brides were beaming!
Thanks to both of you for making this special day even better. We all thought this day would never happen, but it did and some how you knew exactly how to handle the girls. The two of you were so sweet, thoughtful and very gracious to everyone.
The pictures I have seen are brilliant, stunning and beautiful!
Ali you and Zach helped Allison and Aly feel at ease, beautiful and less stressed throughout the whole day.
Thank you again for traveling to Ft Wayne on such short notice.
I will remember this day forever!
    Sincerely, Donna, Allison’s mom
