ALISON MAE
Artful when it matters. Effortless when it counts.
My work blends clean, true-to-life color with an eye for great light, the kind that makes things feel cinematic without feeling staged. It’s thoughtful and intentional, but always grounded in real moments. Sometimes that means beautifully composed. Sometimes it means stepping back and letting the story unfold. It always means staying true to who you are.
This is a glimpse into how I see the world. Collected over time, across places and seasons, and built on a lifelong habit of paying attention. Not everything fits neatly, and to be honest, I love that.
Fall light drifted through the Omni Severin while Grace slipped into her dress and Jeremy waited just down the hall, not quite knowing what was coming. Outside, downtown Indianapolis buzzed with the Monumental Marathon, the city itself feeling like it was in on the celebration.
Molly moved through the pink Italian-style villa like she had always belonged there, pausing beneath hand-painted ceilings that made it feel like we had stepped into a corner of Italy. By the time she and Jim were dancing in the library to music played by their nieces and nephews, the whole day felt more like a story than a schedule.
January brought a quiet kind of beauty to Hotel Carmichael, but Lauren and Conner brought the spark. After an elegant ceremony, they surprised their guests by leading everyone downstairs to Feinstein’s, where My Yellow Rickshaw took over the private bar and turned the night into a full-on celebration.
Evann and Aidan’s wedding at Goodstone Inn came with misty hills, wet stone paths, and the kind of rain that makes a place feel softer. It wasn’t dramatic or stormy, just peaceful and steady, which somehow made the day feel even more special.
Soft light filtered through the trees at the Bluffs at Conner Prairie, warm without trying too hard. Kali and Zack stepped into the day relaxed, excited, and completely themselves, the kind of beginning that quietly signals you’re in for a very good wedding.
We are so grateful Alison and her team were a part of our wedding day.

From Chicago rooftops to coastal estates, historic mansions, mountain towns, and European villas, these are places we’ve spent time, both personally and professionally. Some held wedding days, others shaped how we see and move through the world. Travel isn’t a hurdle for us. It’s part of the rhythm of our lives and our work. If your day is happening across the country or across the ocean, we’ll meet you there with the same calm guidance, editorial eye, and human approach we’re known for.
