5 Signs You’re Planning the Kind of Wedding We Love to Photograph

We’ve photographed a lot of weddings. And while every one is different, the ones we love most tend to share a few things in common. They’re not following a formula. They’re not trying to impress anyone. They just feel good.

Here are a few signs you might be planning that kind of wedding.

1. You care more about how it feels than how it looks.
You want things to be beautiful, obviously. But you’re not trying to perform the day. You’re paying attention to pacing, energy, and whether people actually get to enjoy themselves.

2. You’re leaving space for things to unfold.
The timeline exists, but it has breathing room. You’re not stacking moments back-to-back. You’re okay with pauses, lingering conversations, and moments that weren’t planned but end up being the best part.

3. Your choices feel personal, not obligatory.
You’re wearing what you want. Serving what you love. Playing music that makes sense to you. Nothing is there “just because that’s what people do.”

4. You’re inviting people into the experience.
Long tables. Shared plates. A packed dance floor. You want your guests to feel like they’re part of something, not just watching it happen.

5. You trust your team and let go a little.
You’ve chosen people whose work you love, and you’re letting them do their thing. You’re present. You’re not micromanaging. You’re in it.

If you read this and thought, oh… that’s us, then yes. That’s exactly the kind of wedding we love to photograph. Let’s connect.
