Alex and Sammy’s spring Newfields engagement session was easily one of my favorite sessions so far this year. And while the sprawling grounds of the Newfields campus is positively stunning, that’s not why this session stood out. The connection between these two is what made this session come alive! Their shared laughter and comfort in one another made this wedding photographer’s heart sing! I can’t wait for their wedding next year at New Journey Farms!

Alex and Sammy met for the first time twice. Yep, you read that right! They were both serving their church during a retreat, but didn’t speak much. But fast forward to both of them showing up to celebrate a mutual friend’s 21st birthday and there was no looking back for these two!

Alex proposed to Sammy in Florida (on a private island, no less) with the help of Sammy’s family. After she said yes, these love birds shared a romantic ocean view picnic. How sweet is that? Congratulations Alex and Sammy! We are so excited to celebrate with you as you count down the days until your wedding!
