During our last trip to Seattle, Zach and I knew we’d need to spend some time west of the city. During out last trip there, we photographed Caitlin and Abby’s wedding in Port Angeles, Washington. We fell in love with the area and knew we’d need to explore further! So we packed our bags and set out to make a loop that included gorgeous views along highway 101, Lake Crescent and another stop in Port Angeles. But our favorite? Ruby Beach in Washington!

We decided to visit Ruby Beach at sunset. And the glow! It was pure magic! In addition to watching the sunset, Zach took some new headshots for me. A nearby group of college kids cheered me on which was pretty embarrassing to be honest. But I am so thankful to have these images of our time there! And thanks to our trusty tripod, Zach was able to hop in a few photos too!

We’ve visited some seriously beautiful beaches in our travels, but Ruby Beach is special. I love the way the rocks meet the sea, adding interest to the coastline. Even the short walk down the beach from the parking lot is stunning, with large evergreen trees guiding your way. It really is a lovely little corner of this beautiful world we live in, and I can’t recommend visiting enough!
