Kelsea and Dave
I strongly believe that we are simply meant to cross paths with certain people in life. People that you have so much in common with that it feels from the first meeting that you have known each other forever. Kelsea is one of those people for me. From our first conversation on Instagram messenger, I knew I was meant to be her wedding photographer. She has the biggest heart of anyone I know and has a love for animals that rivals my own. Plus, she works literally around the corner from my house! Who knows, maybe we’d even passed each other driving down the street at some point. Either way, I was overjoyed to celebrate with Kelsea and Dave at their Hotel Carmichael wedding and capture these two love birds as they said I do.
Kelsea and her ladies prepped for the big day in one of the absolutely stunning Hotel Carmichael suites! I love how much space there was for the girls to spread out as they got ready. Kelsea had gifted each of the bridesmaids with a pretty pink robe, so we had to do a few photos to show them off, complete with mimosas of course!
Next it was time for Kelsea to put on her dress. She truly was one of the most beautiful brides I have ever seen! Her dress was absolutely perfect for her and the veil was the most lovely final touch!
Dave and his guys got ready upstairs in a room right next door to Kelsea’s suite. But when it came time for some final touches for Dave, we snuck down to the bar area at the Hotel Carmichael. It was the perfect backdrop for Dave, who is every bit the classy gentleman!
Once we arrived at the church, the guys finished getting ready and laughed and told stories as their boutonnières were pinned. One thing is for sure, Dave is surrounded by some wonderful men in his life. (Including one of my own lifelong friends, Steven.) And some awesome little guys too!
Kelsea and Dave had so many personal details in their wedding (more on that later) but one of my personal favorites was the location for their ceremony. Kelsea and Dave decided to say I do in the exact same church that Dave’s grandfather planted many years ago. What a special and meaningful place to become husband and wife!
Finally it was time for the party to begin! The beautiful Hotel Carmichael was the perfect place for Kelsea and Dave’s celebration. The soft pink and ivory details complimented the blue and gold tones inside the ballroom perfectly. Kelsea and Dave even snuck a little sneak peek before any guests could see. I absolutely loved this and would not be sad if more couples opted for reception reveals in the future!

As I mentioned above, Kelsea (and Dave for that matter) has a big heart for animals. I loved finding all of the clever ways they included their pups through out their wedding day! From paw prints sewn onto the back of dress, to a dog treat bar and even signature cocktails named after their furry friends, their love for dogs was so apparent!
If you follow along regularly with my blog, you know that sunset photos are one of my absolute favorite parts of any wedding day! The light is beautiful and you get to sneak away for fifteen minutes away from the crowd to just be present with one another. It doesn’t get much better! Kelsea and Dave’s sunset portraits also included a pit stop on the stairs at Hotel Carmichael. I’d say it was totally worth it!
After wrapping up sunset portraits, it was time to head back inside for Kelsea and Dave to share their first dance as husband and wife! Next up, Dave surprised guests with a fun dance with his mom! Everyone cheered as his sweet mama kicked off her heels and the two of them bopped across the dance floor. Finally, the rest of the guests were welcomed to the dance floor by the happy couple to share a special dance. Needless to say, that was the most joyful dance floor I have ever seen! Congratulations Kelsea and Dave!
