Upland Columbus Pump House Wedding Columbus Indiana

Tyler + Andrew

Tyler and Andrew’s wedding day was nothing short of amazing! The bright blue sky was full of fluffy white clouds and the sun overpowered the crisp wind that whipped the autumn leaves all around us. It was a beautiful fall day and the perfect day for a wedding at Upland Columbus Pump House Wedding Columbus Indiana!

Andrew and Tyler started their day at a nearby hotel surrounded by their bridal party. Before long, they each went to separate rooms to continue getting ready and to spend some time apart. After a couple of hours, they shared a first look in downtown Columbus and it was absolutely incredible! They each smiled ear to ear as they saw their groom for the first time. After sharing some time together, it was time to head to their venue to get ready for the ceremony!

The Upland Columbus Pump House sits right at the edge of downtown Columbus in the shadows of the Robert N. Stewart Bridge, an iconic landmark for the city. It was a great choice for Andrew and Tyler, as the Upland Brewing Company is one of their favorites! As guests arrived, they were invited to find a seat in the  outdoor ceremony space that over looks the Flatrock River. Escorted by their parents, Andrew and Tyler smiled brightly as they made their way down the aisle. Fallen leaves danced in the wind as Tyler and Andrew stood before their friends and loved ones. One of my favorite parts of Andrew and Tyler’s wedding, was that instead of reading their vows aloud, they each read one another’s vows privately. It was beautiful. Another favorite part, was that they opted to do a beer ceremony, which is something I had never seen, but it fit the theme of their day so well! Plus, according to Tyler, it tasted pretty good! Talk about a signature drink! Finally, best man Davey, handed over the rings and after placing them on one another’s hands, they were pronounced husband and husband!

Finally it was time to party! Tyler, Andrew and their bridal party had done such an awesome job decorating the Pump House. They used Upland growlers to tie their theme in and if you listened carefully, you could hear the beer making its away through the draught lines that ran along the ceiling. Andrew’s elementary school teacher lovingly provided their cake and cupcakes and beautiful eucalyptus and flowers lined the tables. After their entrance, speeches were given before dinner. Each one was so thoughtful and full of love, but Tyler’s little sisters speech made everyone in the room tear up. You could really see how much she loves her older brothers.

Special dances followed dinner and then the dance floor was open. And with a room full of skilled dancers, you can be certain that it was incredible! Tyler and Andrew ended the evening surrounded by their very favorite people, dancing the night away! It really was their best day ever!

Congratulations, Andrew and Tyler! I know this next chapter of your life together will be filled with tons of love, laughing, dancing and of course – delicious beer! Cheers to you!
