Amanda and Patrick’s Mavris Arts and Event Center Wedding
Amanda and Patrick’s Mavris Arts and Event Center wedding was beyond perfect! This sunny day in the circle city had it all. Bright blue skies, picture perfect decorations, a warm and inviting setting, smiles all around and of course, a beautiful love story.
The Location
This was our first time at the Mavris, and it sure did not disappoint! I can see why Amanda and Patrick picked it as the place where they would become husband and wife. Located smack dab between Mass Ave and Fountain Square (where Amanda and Patrick call home) it was the perfect place to celebrate! And speaking of Fountain Square, be sure to check out this iconic duo’s engagement session where we strolled through their neighborhood with their sweet boy, Captain!
How They Met
Amanda and Patrick worked at the same place and met on Patrick’s first day on the job. He knew that very day that he was going to marry her. How’s that for a first day? After awhile Amanda agreed to go on a date with Patrick and these two have been best friends ever since. As Amanda’s mom helped her into her wedding dress, I couldn’t help but think about that first day they met and how far they’ve come together!
Before Amanda shared a first look with her groom, she shared a first look with her dad and bridesmaids first! I am a huge fan of first looks so it’s no surprise that I loved these special ones just as much! How precious are they?
How He Asked
Patrick had elaborate plans to have both of their families come in for the proposal. But thanks to the pandemic, things didn’t exactly work out that way. Instead, Patrick proposed right there in the middle of the living room as soon as Amanda walked through the door. It was just the two of them, and it was perfect. (Well, Captain was probably there too but you know what I mean.)
The Bridal Party
Amanda and Patrick have some seriously cool friends in their life! We made sure to take some time to grab some photos of them with their crew before the ceremony! I loved the dark blue suits the groomsmen wore. They were the perfect contrast to the pretty orchid bridesmaid dresses!

The Details
Amanda and Patrick had all kinds of personal touches woven in through out their wedding. But my favorite? A nod to their adorable dog, Captain – sneaking a bite of wedding cake! If you didn’t look closely, you’d miss it. But I was so glad to see that they found a clever way to include their pup!
The Signature Cocktail
Another fantastic way that Amanda and Patrick made their guests feel at home was by adding a signture cocktail to the line up of drinks at the bar! They also included small bottles of Makers Mark (fresh out of Kentucky, just like Patrick) and instructions on how to make an “Auffrey Old Fashioned” as one of their favors. How cute is that?
Congratulations Amanda and Patrick! We adore you two and had a total blast celebrating with you!
