From my very first conversation with Francy I knew I wanted to be her wedding photographer. We had an instant connection. From our sensitive hearts to our deep love for animals and even how we both worked in human resources (but now thrive as creatives) we had so much in common. And when she started to tell me about her sweet fiancé, Matt, the similarities continued. Just like Zach, Matt is hard working, driven and so kind. As I listened to Francy tell me about the life they are building together in Michigan, it felt like catching up with a friend. I had only just met Francy, but I was already looking forward to their Basilica of the Sacred Heart wedding.
Needless to say, that feeling carried over into their Notre Dame wedding day. Seeing Francy transform into a bride was such a wonderful experience. Surrounded by some of the sweetest and most supportive bridesmaids I have ever met, Francy was glowing! Her sweet spirit radiated and she looked positively flawless.
Matt awaited Francy’s arrival at the end of the aisle at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart. Looking handsome in his suit, his smile grew bigger as Francy slowly made her way towards him. Their ceremony was centered around what is most important to them, their faith. The Basilica of the Sacred Heart is stunning from top to bottom. But arguably even more beautiful were Francy and Matt’s open hearts as they entered into such a beautifully sacred marriage.
Following their meaningful ceremony Francy and Matt shared hugs with family members before heading off for a few portraits around the stunning University of Notre Dame campus. We had the best time with Francy, Matt and their wedding party!
Basilica of the Sacred Heart Wedding
Francy and Matt’s reception was full of fun! These two mingled with guests and enjoyed lots of dancing. We even managed to sneak away for a few moments at sunset where we captured some photos of the beautiful wedding lasso Matt’s parents had given them as a gift, honoring his heritage. It was the perfect way to end the evening celebrating this sweet couple!
