Liz and Bryce
Just down the sycamore tree lined drive and past the lush landscaping, Sycamore Hills Golf Club welcomes visitors warmly. The former estate was the perfect place for Liz and Bryce to tie the knot and dance the night away with their friends and family. With perfect weather and joyful guests, this Sycamore Hills Golf Club wedding was one of our favorites of the year!
Getting Ready
Liz spent the morning getting ready with her bridesmaids and her wonderful, mom, Amy. I first met Amy when I had the honor of photographing Liz’s older brother’s wedding a few years ago. I instantly adored this family so spending the day celebrating with them once again was a true joy. Amy helped Liz and Bryce plan many of the details of this special day, so it was so wonderful to see the two ladies share some special time together before the festivities of the day picked up.
A Few Very Special First Looks
Liz and Bryce had a handful of really amazing ideas to make their wedding day so special. For example, Liz shared first looks with not just Bryce, but her dad and brothers too! I shared a first look with my little brother at my own wedding so these moments were extra special to witness. I love how all three siblings have so much love for one another and truly support each other.
Bryce got ready for the day with the help of his sweet mom, Mary and step father, Brent. I love that Bryce selected the white tuxedo jacket! He looked so sharp and perfectly ready to marry the lovely Liz!
The First Look
Liz and Bryce opted to share a first look prior to their ceremony and I am so glad they did! It was such a sentimental moment between the two of them. After a few private moments, Liz and Bryce both read the vows that they had written to one another which made this part of the day extra special.
Liz and Bryce
It’s amazing how life puts us in the right place at the right time. Liz and Bryce met on a beach during spring break a few years back. I wonder if Liz knew when Bryce came up to her that day that she had just met her husband? One thing is for sure, I bet she was smiling then just as much as she was on the day of her wedding!
The Ceremony
The ceremony was held on the covered patio, which let the perfect breeze in as guests arrived. Acoustic music floated through out the space and Liz grinned ear to ear as her father walked her down the aisle.
The Grand Entrance to Cocktail Hour
I mentioned earlier that Liz and Bryce did a few unique things in order to make their wedding day fit them perfectly. One of those things was doing an entrance (complete with soft pink ribbon wands) to their cocktail hour. How fun is that? Because Liz and Bryce shared a first look before their ceremony they were able to do all of their bridal party and family photos before the ceremony too. As a result they were able to join their own cocktail hour and mingle with their guests. I love this idea! Hor d’oeuvres were passed, stories were told and everyone had the best time!

The Reception
Once cocktail hour was over, it was time to head inside. As guests walked through the french doors they were greeted by the most splendid room. Lush florals, gold chandeliers and flickering candles accented the grand room perfectly. There could not have been a more beautiful space for guests to enjoy heartfelt speeches and a delicious dinner.
Sunset Photos
One of my favorite parts of any wedding day is sunset photos! We slip away for about fifteen minutes and capture a few final portraits when the sun is low in the sky, creating that perfect golden glow. And Liz and Bryce’s wedding day was no exception! We took a quick walk around the property capturing these two in their wedding day glory and allowed them some time to just enjoy the day and be present with one another alone, if only for a few minutes.
Dancing the Night Away
Liz, Bryce and their guests returned to the covered patio for dancing. The September weather could not have been more perfect and guests grinned as they watched Liz and Bryce sway in the center of the dance floor. And before too long, that same dance floor was packed with guests of all ages having a blast with the bride and groom. As Zach and I drove back down that same, sycamore lined drive as we left for the evening, we could still hear the music fading off into the distance and we couldn’t help but smile. Congratulations Liz and Bryce!
