Don’t you just love it when things are mean’t to be? Kenzi and I had emailed back and forth trying to work out a day that would work for her engagement session, but with busy schedules all around it was proving to be a difficult task! But when Kenzi suggested last Thursday – which happened to be perfect for us too – we couldn’t get it on the calendar fast enough! Everything, even the beautiful weather, fell into place. It was as though it was meant to be all along.
The rainstorms came and went all day. It was a constant yo yo effect of would we be able to have Jordan and Matt’s maternity session that day or would we not? Jordan and I kept good tabs on the weather and kept our hopes up.
The sun was shining brightly as I backed out of my driveway. As I passed through my still sleepy neighborhood I remember thinking what a pretty day it was going to be. I parked my car in the empty parking lot and walked the couple blocks to the coffee shop where I was meeting Bre.
As the bouquet flew up and then back down towards the group of excited girls, I smiled as my shutter clicked. Emily’s sister, Rachael had caught the bouquet. The two sisters immediately hugged and laughed together. After all, tradition says that whomever catches the bouquet will be the next in line to marry. In this case, that tradition will live on.
But this wasn’t the first time I have met Heather. You see, awhile back I was out having dinner with my best friend and our husbands when I looked over and saw Derek. At that point I hadn’t seen him in years so I joyfully bounded over to say hello to my longtime friend. Derek introduced me to Heather and we talked for a few minutes. What I didn’t know
