I sat across from Danna and Tyler at Kuma’s Corner in Fountain Square as we ate a late dinner following our session. Metal music wound its away around the outdoor patio where we sat and raindrops fell sporadically just inches away.
The rainstorms came and went all day. It was a constant yo yo effect of would we be able to have Jordan and Matt’s maternity session that day or would we not? Jordan and I kept good tabs on the weather and kept our hopes up.
The sun was shining brightly as I backed out of my driveway. As I passed through my still sleepy neighborhood I remember thinking what a pretty day it was going to be. I parked my car in the empty parking lot and walked the couple blocks to the coffee shop where I was meeting Bre.
The Schnull-Rauch House, also known as The Manor stands proudly on North Meridian Street, just feet from the Children’s Museum of Indianapolis. From the road it is stunning, but once inside, there is no denying it’s beauty. Hardwood floors and fireplaces in almost every room of the historic (built in 1904) three story mansion, it’s an impressive place indeed. As I walked up the staircase, light spilled in from the vibrant stained glass window.
A couple of weeks ago I met up with Stevie and Dmitri at Shadyside Park in Anderson to do some photos of their sweet little girl, Amelia for her upcoming second birthday. I was so excited to be asked to be their photographer as I had photographed Amelia last year too! Plus I just adore Stevie and Dmitri both, so it was a win!
Every year on our anniversary Zach and I take a trip. We save the money that would have been spent on gifts and such through the year and splurge a little on a getaway. Living in Indianapolis, we try to stay within a five to eight hour drive or so and as a result Nashville has been our destination not once, not twice but three times! This past Memorial Day Weekend was our third trip, but this time was a little different.
