Kacey and Jason’s Two Part Wedding Celebration
I think you can learn a lot about a couple by the way they roll with the punches together. It really says a lot about how they prioritize what is most important in the wedding planning process. Each other. So when Kacey and Jason had to bump up their wedding day by a few months, these two rolled through the challenges like a couple of professional roller skaters! And I was thankful to come along for the ride! From an intimate courthouse elopement in the fall to a sun soaked family celebration this spring, their wedding (part one and two) was perfect!
I first met Kacey and her family when I photographed her younger sister Julie’s wedding a couple of years back. I promptly fell in love with the whole crew and simply adore them all! So I was thrilled to get to know Kacey and Jason a bit better! These two are so perfectly in sync. Their shared love for spending a weekend at a convention or heading to the Renaissance Fair keeps them busy, but always spending time together. Plus between Jason’s one liners and Kacey’s hilarious memes she shares online, they both keep me laughing constantly!
Both of Kacey and Jason’s wedding days were filled with personal touches. For starters, both parts of their wedding celebrations fell on a Friday the 13th. A nod to Jason’s love for horror movies. Kacey wore the most beautiful earrings for the second half of their wedding celebration. Jason purchased those earrings for Kacey at a Ren Fair they attended right after their first wedding celebration! And Jason carried a pocket watch that is a family heirloom. I loved seeing all of the sweet ways these two celebrated their love, even in the smallest of details!
Wedding Day: Part One
The first part of Kacey and Jason’s celebration took place at the Boone County Court House. Which I have to say, is positively stunning! What a gorgeous place to begin a marriage! Kacey’s family gathered around to witness the short and sweet ceremony. And once things were official, Kacey, Jason and I took a walk around the charming downtown area. The wind blew the first fallen leaves of the year around us, the perfect autumn day.

Wedding Day: Part Two
For the second part of Kacey and Jason’s wedding celebration, we headed to Fort Harrison State Park! Kacey had been saving her official dress for this celebration so we were all so thrilled to see her in it. She looked incredible! But no one was as excited to see her in this stunning dress as Jason was. They shared a sweet first look and it was so cool to see Jason’s reaction!
After their first look, Kacey and Jason’s family gathered for some portraits. It was great to meet Jason’s side of the family and it was really special to see that so many of them traveled in for the occasion! What a wonderful group! Following family photos and few more photos of just the happy couple, we said our goodbyes. Kacey and Jason headed off to dinner with their loved ones, and to celebrate officially.. officially… becoming husband and wife!
Congratulations Kacey and Jason! We are so happy for you both!
