Portfolio

As a wedding photographer in Indianapolis, I have seen my fair share of venues around town. But over the years I’ve found a few that really stand out from the rest! From cool industrial vibes to romantic sun soaked solariums, Indianapolis has a wedding venue for everyone. If you’re searching for the perfect place to say “I do” this list is for you! I’m excited to share (in no particular order) some of my favorite Indianapolis wedding venues with you. Who knows, maybe your dream venue is on this list! In time, I’m sure this list will grow as I photograph new weddings across the city, but for now – here are a few that I personally love most!

The Ritz Charles

One of my absolute favorite venues in all of Indianapolis is the Ritz Charles! From the beautiful ballrooms to the light filled Garden Pavillion, this venue is truly breathtaking! But what’s even better? The Ritz Charles team is phenomenal and will make you feel like family!

Laurel Hall

Laurel hall is my favorite hidden gem in Indianapolis. It’s nestled at the end of a winding drive in a gated community and will make you feel like you have your very own castle! Laurel Hall has it all – an impressive staircase with stained glass, a stunning bridal suite fit for royalty and a beautiful terrace that was made for fabulous cocktail hours. But my favorite part of Laurel Hall? The solarium! Bathed in natural light, packed full of beautiful windows and lush plants – this room is a stand out and perfect for bridal portraits. This historic venue takes the beauty of the past and combines it with modern conveniences – it’s the best of both worlds!

Black Iris Estate

The Black Iris Estate sits on 13+ acres of property in Carmel. It offers so many options for couples planning their best day ever! When you walk in the door you are greeted by the most stunning staircase – which sets the tone of elegance for the entire venue. As you make your way down the hallway you will find a breathtaking ballroom. The ballroom is filled with sparkling chandeliers and beautiful natural light. Outside a jaw dropping iron gazebo is the perfect location for an outdoor ceremony. If that isn’t your style, follow the path just over the bridge you’ll find the The Willow Chapel. The Willow Chapel is the venue’s newest beauty! This is one of my personal favorite parts of The Black Iris Estate, but you have to see it for yourself!

Hotel Carmichael

Hotel Carmichael is one of the newest wedding venues in Indianapolis. But while it’s the new kid on the block it’s a seriously gorgeous option for your wedding day! The soft blue ballroom with stunning chandeliers makes this venue luxurious and perfect for light and airy wedding photos! Plus, since it’s a hotel your guests won’t have to travel far at the end of the evening. Win, win!

The Omni Severin

This venue will take your breath away! With tons of natural light and beautiful architecture it is hands down one of the most beautiful wedding venues in the city! Plus you are within walking distance to some seriously incredible photo ops in Indianapolis. What could be better?

Iron and Ember

This is a lovely new wedding venue located in Carmel. And while it may be the new kid on the block, this venue team knows what they are doing! Beautiful natural light fills the open space and industrial, black beams frame the room perfectly! A stunning fireplace provides warmth in the winter and a fabulous patio offers the perfect spot for a summer soirée!

Lindley Farmstead

Lindley Farmstead is a Ritz Charles property on the north west side of Indy that is the perfect little farm escape! I love the tall ceilings and the pond just behind the building!

The Biltwell

The Biltwell is a super unique venue on the south west side of downtown Indianapolis. Filled with massive windows, a large wooden staircase and even a freight elevator this venue sets itself apart. Offering several different spaces to accomodate your vision, the team at the Biltwell really has thought everything through. My personal favorite spots in this venue are the sun soaked decks and the safe in the Overlook space. Located just off 70, it is super easy for guests to find and there is plenty of parking. Plus, the view of the Indy skyline is stellar!

BASH

Bash is one of Indy’s newest wedding venues and I absolutely LOVE it! I get ridiculously excited when couples personalize their wedding. What better way to do that than with a blank space? This venue packs a punch with all white walls and beautiful wooden floors and allows couples to transform it into a space all their own! Looking for a farmhouse style? Ok! Modern? Yep. You name it – you can bring it to life at Bash!

The Columbia Club

The Columbia Club is right on Monument Circle and weddings take place on various floors – keeping everything under one roof!  From a sun soaked ceremony to dancing the night away in a stunning 10th floor ballroom with a truly magnificent view of the Soldiers and Sailors Monument – this is one venue you don’t want to miss! The ballroom is one of the most beautiful ballrooms in the city and is the perfect place to share your first dance with the love of your life. Did I mention how close it is to Monument Circle? Iconic Indianapolis photos with your bridal party are literally just steps away at The Columbia Club!

The Indianapolis Zoo

Pretty much everyone around here knows about the Indianapolis Zoo, but not everyone knows that you can have your wedding there! There are lots of places to say “I do” at the zoo, but I really love The Hilbert Conservatory. Not only will its beauty make your jaw drop, but you will also have one of the best views of the Indianapolis skyline. This really is a special place! Smaller ceremonies are perfect for inside the conservatory while larger weddings are meant for their outdoor space! If you want to find a way to bring a rainforest vibe to your wedding day – this is the place for you!

Pipers at the Marott

This is another hidden gem in Indy. The Atrium at the heart of the building will take your breath away. Natural light pours through the glass ceiling which totally eliminates any need to find a rain back up for your big day. As a result, you can rest assured knowing that you’ve got that taken care of! But if you do wish to have your wedding portraits done on Monument Circle or any other beautiful place in Indianapolis, Pipers at the Marott is just a short drive away. Pipers at the Marott offers several room choices so you can create the day of your dreams. The Crystal Room is truly a showstopper! And don’t even get me started on their delicious catering options!

Coxhall Gardens

Coxhall Gardens is truly epic. A well manicured walkway leads to a stunning amphitheater with tiered seating for your guests. A fountain trickles down the center leading your eyes to a beautiful gazebo that is perfect for wedding ceremonies. Mature trees and a pond line the rest of the gardens. The Ritz Charles provides a spacious tent for your reception and guests can explore as they watch a beautiful sunset over the pond.

But if an outdoor venue isn’t your thing – worry not! The Ritz Charles offers several other venue spaces in the Indianapolis area too! The Garden Pavilion is absolutely breathtaking!

The Allison Mansion

I absolutely LOVE photographing weddings at The Allison Mansion! The team here is just incredible and will go above and beyond to make sure the wishes of the bride and groom are met. The gardens surrounding the mansion are perfect for portraits with your bridal party and for guests to explore during the warmer months.  The Allison Mansion at Riverdale is nestled in the Marian University campus and is centrally located in the Indianapolis area – making it a great option if you’re getting married in a church and are looking for a wonderful reception space. This venue is so rich in history and beauty – it’s a must see if you’re planning an Indianapolis wedding!
