Betzy and Jackson’s Fort Wayne wedding was absolutely incredible! The sun was shining and the sky was a brilliant blue. It was one of those summer days that isn’t too hot, a nice treat during this Indiana summer. It was perfect.
Betzy and Jackson are hands down one of the most kind and genuine couples I have ever met. If I didn’t know better, I’d swear that birds and mice actually made Betzy’s wedding dress because she is clearly a real life Disney Princess. She is kind and gracious, always going out of her way to make things special for others. She is stunning, but her inner beauty is what really makes her shine the brightest. Jackson is just as amazing! He has this wonderful ability to make anyone in the room feel comfortable instantly and does so with an impeccable grin. These two serisouly have hearts of gold and being their wedding (and engagement) photographer was such an honor!
Betzy got ready in a small classroom down the hall from the sanctuary at Holy Cross Lutheran Church. The room was full of excitement and laughter that could be heard from the hallway outside. Betzy’s Essence of Australia dress paired perfectly with her veil – the same veil that her sister Sarah had worn on her wedding day! How sweet is that? Just down the hall Jackson prepped for the day in the library, sharing jokes and letters of appreciation with his groomsmen. The final touch on Jackson’s wedding day look? An embroidered handkerchief that had once belonged to his grandfather, tucked carefully in his front pocket – their shared initials peeking out at the top. These sweet, sentimental touches really say a lot about Betzy and Jackson. Their day was not just a celebration of their love, but of their loved ones too!
After a beautiful ceremony, Betzy and Jackson boarded a trolley with their hilarious and fun bridal party and took off! Downtown Fort Wayne was the perfect location for photos and my goodness, it did not disappoint! There are so many things to do in Fort Wayne, including a baseball stadium and live music venues. Jackson loves baseball almost as much as he loves Betzy so the guys headed to Parkview Field for some photos. Betzy stopped traffic during her bridal portraits, drawing all of the attention away from Beach Boy Brian Wilson who was performing in town and standing just feet from us. Sorry Brian!
Finally, we headed to YOLO Event Center for their reception! Betzy and Jackson opted for cheesecake (be still my heart) instead of traditional wedding cake and surprised their youngest guests with inflatable instruments for rocking out on the dance floor. Guests danced the night away – laughing and having a blast! DJ Ryan with Dynamic Sound Entertainment did an incredible job of keeping things fun and the YOLO team was awesome as well. It was such a great night!
Congratulations to Betzy and Jackson! We love you two!
