I am so excited to share McKenzie and Nathan’s wedding with you today! I’ve written about them a couple of times on the blog already, (see those here and here) but in case you’re not familiar with this incredible couple – buckle up! I adore these two! And I’m not alone, their wedding day was filled with tons of love from their friends and family. It was such a sweet day and celebrating with them was the best!
After a relaxed morning at Medusa Hair Design, McKenzie and her girls headed to Bethany Christian Church. McKenzie grew up attending this church and her amazing mom works there – talk about the perfect place for such a meaningful day! And speaking of meaningful, one of my favorite little touches of the day was McKenzie’s garter. He mom sewed McKenzies’s grandmothers sorority charm and the blue sequins from her first dance outfit to represent her something borrowed and something blue. How sweet is that? And the sweetness didn’t stop there! McKenzie had also arranged to do a special reveal for her bridesmaids as none of them had seen her dress! I loved the different expressions each girl had as she came around the corner. McKenzie also shared a sentimental first look with her dad and a prayer with Nathan before the ceremony! I loved this because it allowed them to have a moment together to share something so meaningful with out seeing one another. Nathan looked incredibly dapper in his suit and bow tie and could be spotted grinning ear to ear all day – but if you know Nathan, you know this is how he is all the time. But as he prepared to marry McKenzie, that smile was bigger than ever!
As McKenzie walked down the aisle to her groom, Nathan’s first look was one of the most emotional and beautiful first looks I have ever seen! Following their stunning ceremony, the newly minted Mr. and Mrs. Byers and their bridal party headed to Horizon Convention Center in Muncie for their reception! McKenzie and Nathan surprised their guests with a choreographed dance which had everyone cheering! As the night went on, there was no shortage of laughter and dancing! It was such a blast! Zach, Megan and I were thrilled to share such a special day with McKenzie + Nathan!
Congratulations Mr. + Mrs. Byers!
