You never know when you’re going to meet the love of your life. For some people it happens in college. For some it happens through online dating. For others it happens at a local bakery on a Wednesday. But for breana and blake it happened early on in life. In fact, they were even on the same pee-wee league when they were little. (Be sure to ask one of their mom’s to see the photo – it’s adorable!) These high school sweethearts have been together for over six years, and have been building something incredible ever since.
Cornerstone Center for the Arts stands out as you drive along the one way downtown streets of Muncie, Indiana. It’s a building rich in history and full of beautiful details. It was the perfect place for Breana and Blake’s wedding. As I photographed Breana’s wedding details through out the building I couldn’t help but fall in love with the ornate staircase, I mean – talk about impressive! Breana’s Allure Bridal dress dripping in stunning beadwork only made it better!
The morning was relaxed and calm. Bridesmaids wore silken navy and floral robes as they had their hair and makeup done in the most beautiful ballet studio. As the older girls got ready, Breana’s flower girl and niece, Emery, floated around the room enjoying her flower girl dress. I loved watching her watch Breana from across the room. You could really tell how much she looks up to her and it is the sweetest thing ever.
Before long it was time for Breana to change into her dress. Her sweet mama helped her and right before our eyes Breana transformed into a stunning bride. (Of course, this was no surprise, Breana is so pretty!) Every detail was perfect, from her rose gold engagement ring to her matching Fossil watch – a gift from her groom. Beth and I swooned right along with the bridesmaids!
The bridesmaids and Breana posed for portraits in the incredible lobby of Cornerstone. The warm tones of the historic walls brought out the rose hues in Breana’s dress and the sunlight poured into the lobby, illuminating her for her timeless bridal portraits. We also stepped outside and let her veil blow gently in the wind. (Ok, so maybe Zach helped a little, haha) Breana truly made a gorgeous bride!
Breana had a groom’s gift waiting on Blake when he arrived – a striking watch for him to wear on their wedding day. Blake hung out with his guys, playing cards and joking around while they waited for their turn for photos. Blake’s mom helped add the finishing touches to his suit and Blake knocked his portraits out of the park!
Breana and Blake’s ring bearer, Liam, kept all the guys laughing and even made sure to show off his Spiderman socks! He is such a sweetheart!
Next up was the ceremony! The golds and navys of the Grand Hall created a romantic atmosphere, perfect for a wedding! Glowing lanterns lined the aisle. Breana’s cousin, Jasmine, did a wonderful job officiating. the ceremony was perfect and Blake’s first look at Breana was a moment I don’t think I’ll ever forget!
After some family photos, the bridal party headed outside to a small park across the street. This bunch was so fun! They so obviously love Breana and Blake – just look at these shenanigans! After the bridal party headed back across the street, I stole a few moments with the bride and groom for some portraits!
Finally it was time for the reception. Cafe lights strung across the Colonnade Room, lighting the way for guests to find their seats. Tall, floral centerpieces added to the elegance of the evening. Following a delicious dinner from Johnny Carino’s, the reception was in full swing!
As the evening wore on, the dance floor stayed full! Everyone had a blast and I even got to steal the happy couple away for a few sunset photos before returning to the reception for the bouquet and garter toss. The entire day was just breathtaking and I am so happy that I was able to celebrate with this incredible couple and their friends and family! What a blast! Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Campbell!
And a huge shout out to Beth of BB Quinn Photography for all of her help! She is a rockstar!
