The sun was just coming up as I started my drive to Greens Fork. The road was quiet with the exception of massive farm machinery that seemed to crawl down the street. One thing was for sure – I was not in the city anymore. After about an hour I knew I was getting close. I found myself on back country roads, sometimes miles between driveways. I knew I was headed for Nate’s family farm, but aside from google maps cheerfully directing me, I wasn’t really sure what to look for. And then I saw it. As clear as day from the road. Nate’s family name painted across the barn. I was there!
As I drove up the long gravel drive, I was greeted by the welcoming committee – an older chocolate lab named Gus and a golden retriever puppy named Link. Before long, Corinne and Nate arrived with their black lab puppy, Arrow. Corinne and Nate get bonus points for having so many doggos at their engagement session – I was in love!
We explored the grounds and Nate shared with me that the farm had belonged to his grandfather and that now his cousin lives there. It was really special to be able to take photos for them in a space that is so unique and one that holds meaning for his family. The morning was cloudy and a bit on the chilly side, but that didn’t stop these two from having fun! From sitting in the mud to climbing over a creek, they didn’t stop smiling. Corinne and Nate make each other laugh no matter what is going on and I adore that about them. And just when you think they can’t get any cuter – just add their puppy, Arrow into the mix!
I cannot wait for their wedding wedding next month at Roan Farm! Stay tuned!
