A few months ago my friend Andrea made the move from Seattle to Indianapolis. Shortly thereafter we got together over cupcakes and coffee and started dreaming up an idea to work together to showcase her amazing makeup skills! Let me tell you – this girl is talented! She is constantly posting her creations on her instagram and I can’t help but be so impressed by her creations!
As it turns out, one of my 2017 brides, Jennifer, is a friend of Andrea’s and she offered to be our Bride for the day! Andrea came prepared with all kinds of pretty cosmetic products that had Jennifer and I practically drooling. Watching Andrea work was really special – she has a way of explaining everything she is doing to really help put her client at ease. Plus, there was no shortage of laughter!
We had originally planned to do a more ethereal styled shoot, but I had this really cool headpiece we wanted to encorporate. As soon as Jennifer put it on we knew we had to go in the direction of Gatsby. It was just too perfect.
After hair and makeup, Jennifer put on her white dress that she plans to wear during her wedding reception and we walked down to the small park by my house. After a few final touchups with Andrea, it was my turn to work with Jennifer. She put up with all of my shenanigans, including when I told her to follow me between the branches of a nearby willow tree.
Overall, the three of us had a blast working on this styled shoot together! If you ask me, we make a good team! If you have any ideas for a fun theme for us to try next, please comment them below!
